Roles able to edit: Compiler, Regional Editor
You can access your sectors by navigating to the “Circle Info” screen and then clicking on the “Sectors” tab in the lower part of the screen. Sectors are optional but if your circle uses sectors or zones to help manage coverage of your circle, those defined sectors should be entered here. You can use this tab to create or edit sector names, descriptions, and mapped boundaries. If you use sectors, we encourage you to keep these updated in the platform.
To create a new sector click on the “Add Sector” button on the upper right of the Sector tab. A pop-up will display with the following items to complete. The only item that is required is a sector name.
Sector Name – Any public name you wish to use to refer to your sector. Numbers or letters are fine.
Sector Description - This is the public description of the location and habitat that is contained in the sector. This will be shown on the public Circle Finder page for your circle. For event and sector description templates, please see here.
Sector Leaders – Assign any sector leaders by filling in the first and last name and their email address. You can add more than one sector leader by clicking on “Add another sector leader”. When you add a sector leader, that person will receive an invitation email confirming their assignment and with instructions to set up their account if they do not already have one.
Notes - This may be helpful to detail things leaders and planners need to know about the sector and is not public.
To edit a sector select “Edit Sector” from the 3-dot menu on the right side of the appropriate row. A pop-up screen will display with all of the items to edit. Make sure to click on “Save” when you are finished with your edits.
