The bottom section of the “Circle Info” screen contains tables where the people and sectors for the circle are managed. There are three tabs for :
Circle Leaders - This includes compilers, sector leaders, and community engagement leaders for the circle. When someone is assigned one of these roles, they appear in this table.
Participants – When participants register online they will appear here. Compilers will manually add additional participants.
Sectors – If your circle uses sectors or zones to help manage coverage of your circle, those defined sectors appear here. You can use this tab to create or edit sector names, descriptions, and boundaries.
On the Circle Leaders tab, you can view the name, role, phone and email for each circle leader. Compilers can email them directly by clicking on the email on a leaders row. That will open your computer’s email software with the email inserted for ease of use. Note that more than one person can be assigned to each of the types of leaders for a circle or sector.
Only regional editors and compilers can assign or remove compilers, sector leaders and community engagement leaders for a circle.
To assign a leader to your circle, click on the “Actions” button on top right of the table and select “Assign Circle Leaders”. Complete the pop-up screen that appears, entering the first and last name as well as the email for any of the three role options provided: compiler, sector leader or community engagement manager. You do not have to enter all three roles. Once you have filled out one of those rows for a new user to the system, they will receive an email to setup their password and will have access to the role you assigned the next time they log in. If the newly assigned leader already has an account, they will simply receive an email confirming their new role. To remove a leader from a circle click on the 3-dot menu on the right side of the row and select “Remove from circle”. The leader will be immediately removed from your circle.
The CBC data platform provides the Circle Finder for the general public and your participants to use when they wish to register to learn about your count. The Circle Finder features one leader from your circle as the “Visible Circle Leader”. To set the “Visible Circle Leader” for your circle, make sure one of the circle leaders has a star on their row. If none of your circle leaders has a star, you can set this by clicking on the 3-dot menu on the right of any compiler or community engagement row and selecting “Set as Visible Circle Leader”.
