When creating your sectors, also draw your sector boundaries in the platform mapping system. To draw your sector, select “Edit” from the 3-dot menu to the right of the sector and in the resulting pop-up, click on “Draw Sector” .
A new screen will display with your circle drawn on the right side of the screen. The available drawing tools are located in the left column. Either tool allows you to create sectors on the map, using different methods.
Draw Shape: Sketch a complete enclosed shape (polygon) to define your sector within the circle, using a double-click to enclose the polygon. Optionally your drawing can “snap” to the edges of the circle and other sectors you’ve drawn, or to major boundaries such as roads, rivers, and coasts. After you’ve drawn your sector, you can edit the lines to improve the drawing, or you can select “Done”.
Cookie Cutter: Cut a shape from the circle to define your sector. This method is best for creating clean boundaries between sectors to avoid retracing sinuous lines such as along rivers or roads. You will draw a line that bisects the circle which acts like a cookie cutter. After you’ve bisected the circle, select one of the pieces then select “Done”.
